The AlpenSchlössl is located in the middle of Alpendorf, at the entrance to Großarltal, the "valley of the mountain huts". Enjoy the impressive mountain landscape of the Hohe Tauern. On around 400km of marked hiking routes, which take you all the way to the National Park Hohe Tauern, where approx. 70 mountain huts with local delicacies invite you to take a break.

Incredible Hiking Holiday in the Alps in Salzburgerland in Austria
When hiking, discover the diverse mountain landscape of our nature and breathe in the fresh air from the mainly hand mown fields at the same time. Go a bit higher and you can see the most beautiful and almost rare flowers, the Edelweiss. If you are lucky, you can watch a mountain goat as it moves majestically through the mountains, jumping from stone to stone.

For our easy bikers, we recommend the 180km long fabulous Tauern biking route, which follows along the Salzach river. Observe the swans and the ducks in their natural environment whilst cycling along. Set off directly from AlpenSchlössl!
For our mountain bikers we have more challenging routes with various levels of difficulty, which go high up and where you can really exert yourself!
